p3p compliant privacy policy

Web

This is our p3p compliant privacy policy, the p3p 1.0 recommendation issues by the W3C, the World Wide Web Consortium. p3p stands for The Platform for Privacy Preferences Project (P3P) covering the use of your personal information on Web sites you visit. It covers your privacy to the extent that is explained below.

Our stardard, machine readable policy gives our name, address and telephone as it already appears in our contact page:

Our Company full name is Information Strategies Key Intangible Value Limited.

Our postal address is:

ISKIV Ltd

NEWCASTLE - Craven Arms

United Kingdom

Our p3p policy states that:

We have a privacy policy for the data that we may collect at our iskiv.net Website [-English language: policy1-]; you may modify these data by yourself or request their modification or deletion as indicated in our contact page and policy page, using our Data privacy form.
The leading organisation to which we refer is the UK Information's Commissioner website. [DISPUTES]
Would we have made any error, we will correct it. [REMEDIES]

That, for other purpose:

We have a quality statement and a confidentiality policy, along with a code of practice. The data that we record are used for the sole purpose of managing the services rendered or subscription to regular information and may be deleted or modified at any time.
We are the only user, apart from yourself, of eventual data that we may record for you. [RECIPIENT]
We do not have a specific delay for deleting such data. We keep it as long as needed for you. [RETENTION]
We may, at your request (you should opt-in) keep you informed with our products, services or information news.
Eventual data that we may record for you may be used for setting up a personal area in order to exchange information and data privately and securely with you.

It also states that:

We briefly record some navigation information in order to improve our portals, and for securing and improving our website [-English language: policy3-].
This is made through various methods that include the use of session cookies; we are the only user [RECIPIENT]
We do not retain such information, which is not adequate for personal identification. [RETENTION]

Though p3p appears to be an interesting effort for privacy management, it covers the privacy to a limited extent. What p3p may cover is the nature of the data recorded, if any, the rentention policy for the data, who is using those data and for what to do.

What p3p doesn't cover: it says exactly nothing about the practice of the website's owner toward it visitors, partners, suppliers or clients. Let's take a very simple example: You are given a telephone number. Being serious, today what does mean a telephone number?

Shall you have a problem to solve, will you be informed by a voice robot that "your call may be recorded for quality purpose" or will you get someone immediately? Will you stay one hour on the phone to explain to various people what it is or will the call duration be less than 5 minutes? Will you be given the name of a real person that you can call back if you want or will you receive an obscure and meaningless number? Will your problem be solved with an immediate confirmation the same day or will you wait indefinitely and be obliged to call back yourself?

Whatever the area, privacy, confidentiality, technical support, sales support, obviously the relationship goes the same way. At our opinion, a reliable provider consider his visitors, customers, partners or suppliers responsively. Real people with a true and consistant name, responsively in charge for an area of action are able to solve quickly and efficiently any problem that arises. When you ask for information or when you complain, there is an immediate response and this response carries and advertise the specific values and behaviour of a business.

Our own values are: 100% service to customer. Solving your problem, should it occur, as if it was our own, as efficiently and quickly as we can. Our relationship with third parties is always nominative and we consider this issue as essential for privacy: yes, otherwise, it means that nearly anyone can access your data. Our behaviour is a responsive one. Of course we consider your privacy seriously.
